Natural antibacterial ingredients: A lemon peach demand surges
Australian Native Products (ANP), Australia ’s largest commercial lemon citrus grower, said it has reorganized its entire North Queensland farm to meet the growing consumer demand for hand sanitizers and cleaning products.
ANP finds that the market has a surge in demand for its natural lemon nectarines because lemon nectarines have strong natural antibacterial properties, and its essential oils can be used in personal hygiene and cleaning products, including hand sanitizer products that have become very popular on the market recently.
ANP CEO James Gosper (James Gosper) said that the demand is very strong, and now the company's entire Far North Queensland Maliba farm can process all of its harvested lemon nectarines, specifically for essential oil.
Gosper pointed out: "As one of the epidemic response measures, the company's enquiries related to hand sanitizers surged, and enquiries related to cleaning products increased by 70%."
"In a week, our Mariba farm has gone from turning 95% of harvested lemon nectarines into dry leaves to distilling 100% of the crop into essential oils. From now to June, we expect to produce 300 litres of lemon Peach essential oil. "
The current market demand exceeds the supply, and ANP is meeting the demand by newly planting 180,000 lemon peach and anise peach trees.
