Hainan Refinery Ethylene Project 1 million tons/year ethylene plant high standard delivery

On the afternoon of November 13th, the 1 million tons/year ethylene plant of the Hainan Refinery and Petrochemical Ethylene project contracted by Sinopec Sijian Co., Ltd. successfully achieved high standard delivery.

Since the construction of the Hainan Ethylene Refining Project, the project department of the Fourth Petrochemical Construction Company has firmly established the confidence and determination of "building high-quality products, establishing a landmark and standing in the forefront", giving full play to its advantages, taking on responsibilities and doing good, actively overcoming the influence of multiple factors such as epidemic, high temperature, rainy, typhoon, etc., facing difficulties head-on, making bold efforts, and completing the targets and tasks in strict accordance with relevant standards and specifications. On June 30, last year, the foundation construction under the ground was completed, and the pipeline corridor, frame and drawing equipment foundation construction in the cold zone, hot zone, urgent cooling zone and compression zone were completed. On July 16, the installation of the first equipment D-022 was completed. On September 9, C-103 chiller tower crane of the first large tower was installed. The project department made overall planning and scientific deployment, and only took 70 days to complete the installation of 5 large towers with high quality. On the eve of this year's New Year's Eve, K-201 compressor was successfully hoisted into place and the installation task of ethylene three unit was started. On May 27, oil transportation of K-201 compressor began, and the trial operation of ethylene Unit 3 was fully underway. On October 31, K-201 compressor was successfully tested with empty load, which laid a solid foundation for further realizing CCCC's goal.

After 20 months of unremitting efforts of all the employees involved in the construction, under the premise of ensuring safety and quality, the project department achieved the high standard target of delivery according to the plan. During this period, the project department won 3 model projects such as 1 million tons/year ethylene plant C-101 tower foundation, "15 million continuous safe labor hours" medal, and "Excellent Quality Management Contractor" and other titles.

The project Department of the Fourth Construction Company of Sinopec said that in the next step, we will fully cooperate with the owner to do the follow-up work such as the trial operation, so as to ensure the smooth operation of the device and make contributions to the development of Sinopec and Hainan.
