The second phase of Longbai Group's 200,000 tons/year battery material grade iron phosphate project was completed and put into operation
Recently, the second phase (50,000 tons) of the 200,000 tons/year battery material grade iron phosphate project of Longbai Group Co., Ltd. was completed and put into operation, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons, and the scale of iron phosphate products ranked among the top five in the industry.
The project is a key project of "three batches" in Henan Province and an important part of Longbai Group's layout of lithium battery cathode materials. Since the first phase of the 50,000 tons/year production line was officially put into operation in April this year, the output has continued to rise, and the standard has been successfully achieved, and the product supply exceeds demand, and the market situation is gratifying.
"The third phase of the project of 100,000 tons/year of iron phosphate project has been started and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of the third quarter of 2023." During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, on the basis of the layout of Jiaozuo iron phosphate projects, the Group has also planned to build lithium iron phosphate projects in Xiangyang, Gansu and other bases, and by the end of 2025, a production capacity of more than 500,000 tons will be formed. The head of the company's project said.
Since 2021, Longbai Group has adhered to the development idea of "large chemical industry and low cost", learned from the successful experience of titanium dioxide industry, and integrated the whole industrial chain and integration in lithium battery material projects, forming a whole industrial chain pattern of coupling development of titanium industry and lithium battery industry, through recycling and utilizing ferrous sulfate, waste caustic soda, sulfuric acid, steam, hydrogen, etc. directly or indirectly for the production of lithium battery cathode and anode materials, reducing production costs, while improving the comprehensive utilization rate of resources, and creating a model of efficient integration of titanium and lithium industry.
It is reported that Longbai Group will continue to promote the implementation of the company's "14th Five-Year Plan" new energy industry plan, cultivate the group's second largest economic growth curve, make every effort to build a 100-billion-level new material industry base, and strive to use 3 to 5 years to make the lithium energy new material industry in the forefront of the country.
