ExxonMobil Holds Synthetic Base Oil Forum
On November 15, the first China Synthetic Base Oil High end Forum held by ExxonMobil was successfully held online and offline simultaneously.
With the theme of "New Movements See Syn Clean World", the forum gathered industry experts and business leaders to jointly discuss the sustainable development potential of advanced lubricant formulations under the situation of comprehensive low-carbon transformation of economic and social development, as well as low-carbon solutions for the entire lubricant value chain.
At this high-end forum, Li Junfeng, Executive Director of China Energy Research Association, made an in-depth analysis of China's "dual carbon" policy and its requirements for industrial green upgrading. Li Junfeng pointed out that China's carbon emissions mainly come from industry. To achieve the goal of "double carbon", energy conservation and carbon reduction in the industrial sector are of great responsibility and arduous tasks, while technological progress and energy transformation are the two keys to promote China's industrial low-carbon transformation.
Later, Sun Xiaohan, technical engineer of ExxonMobil synthetic base oil, introduced metallocene polymer α- Olefin (PAO) and MaX 3.5 PAO provide enterprises with the performance advantages of energy conservation and efficiency enhancement, as well as the characteristics of Esterex ester and Synesstic alkylnaphthalene. The new generation of synthetic base oil innovatively developed by ExxonMobil can meet the dual needs of Chinese enterprises for efficient production, energy conservation and carbon reduction, such as extending the oil change cycle and improving fuel economy. Especially in the application of wind turbines and electric vehicles, the new generation of synthetic base oil can also improve the energy efficiency and thermal management of oil, as well as the performance under severe operating conditions, ensure the safe and long-term operation of equipment, and help the development of new energy industry.
