1.9 million tons! The first three quarters of China chemical pesticide production

From January to September 2022, the cumulative output of pesticide technical was 1,917,400 tons, down 1.9% year on year. The average output of the month was 193,000 tons, down 2.6% year on year, and the output showed a “double decline” in the Cumulative year on year and the same month on year.

In terms of regional output at provincial level, Jiangsu, Shandong and Sichuan ranked the top three in terms of output of pesticide technical from January to September 2022 with the output of 422,500 tons, 232,500 tons and 228,900 tons, up 5.8%, 18.6% and 0.3% year-on-year, respectively.

For the top three provinces, Jiangsu and Shandong shown big increase in output in September, up to 25.7% and 59.8%，respectively. As for the supply and demand relationship of 60 bulk technicals, the operating rate of enterprises in Jiangsu and Shandong increased significantly, and the effect of regional high-quality development was gradually reflected. However, the output of Sichuan, which was the third largest, down 12.1% due to the influenced of the safety incident of Glyphosate. In addition, the newly built production capacity of Glyphosate and Glufodinate ammonium in Inner Mongolia, Liaoning and Jilin provinces gradually reached production, and the output was further released.
