Biesterfeld Distributes ExxonMobil’s Vistalon Rubber in Italy
Biesterfeld Polybass SpA has strengthened its long-term relationship with ExxonMobil Chemical Company and distributes Vistalon ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) in Italy.
This is an ideal addition to Biesterfeld Polybass SpA's portfolio of high-performance polymers for the Italian market.
Vistalon EPDM has excellent physical properties and excellent processing advantages. In addition to good ozone and UV resistance, it has high resistance to chemicals and heat. It is characterized by high cold flexibility, low compression set and a very good electrical insulation. This property profile makes Vistalon suitable for a variety of applications. It is used in the injection moulding and extrusion process in the automotive and consumer goods industries and is used in calendered films as roofing membranes in roof waterproofing.
Vistalon EPDM is also used in interior and exterior gaskets, cable insulations and flexible hoses because of its combination of properties.
Biesterfeld and ExxonMobil Chemical have been working together for 33 years. Vistalon EPDM is already successfully sold by Biesterfeld Performance Rubber in Germany, Austria, Benelux, France, Central Europe, Brazil, the former CIS states and Switzerland.
"We look forward to expanding our collaboration with ExxonMobil Chemical in Italy. Vistalon EPDM is an important addition to our existing rubber portfolio and offers the outstanding properties of Vistalon EPDM to our customers Competitive advantages and gaining special recognition in Italy, thus strengthening our market position in the rubber processing industry," added Claudio Giorio, general manager, Biesterfeld Polybass SpA.
