Uses of Cinnabar
1. In Dentistry
Cinnabar is used in dentistry to create fillings and sealants. Cinnabar is mixed with white composite to make a resin that can be used in making dental fillings. The cinnabar colored composite has the best properties for this specific purpose.
2. In Art Work
Cinnabar is used in art work as paints and pigments for drawing, glazing, marbling and printing textiles. Cinnabar was first used by the Chinese to paint the cloaks of their royalty in the fifth century B.C..
