BASF and Ascend's PA series products both increase prices!

ECHEMI 2020-07-27

In our impression, PA66 seems to have been stuck in a vortex of falling prices and it is difficult to escape, and there has been no sign of price increase for a long time.

Starting from late September 2018, PA66 entered a downward channel, and the downward trend continued until July.

With the improvement of global economic conditions, BASF and Ascend have issued price increase letters one after another!

On July 20, BASF issued an announcement on the price increase of PA66 products!

The price adjustment will take effect on August 1, 2020.

ADN rose by EUR 100/ton, equivalent to RMB 813/ton;
HMD rose by 100 Euros/ton, equivalent to RMB 813/ton;
Adipic acid rose by 70 Euros/ton, equivalent to RMB 569/ton;
AH-salt rose by EUR 120/ton, equivalent to RMB 976/ton;
PA66 rose by 100 Euro/ton, equivalent to RMB 813/ton;

On July 15, Ascend announced the price increase of PA66 and industrial chain materials, effective immediately!

PA66 rose by EUR 130/ton, equivalent to RMB 1057/ton;
HMD rose 175 Euros/ton, equivalent to RMB 1,423/ton;
ADN rose by 175 Euros/ton, equivalent to RMB 1,423/ton;
AN rose by 150 Euro/ton, equivalent to RMB 1,220/ton;
AA rose by 70 Euros/ton, equivalent to RMB 569/ton;

The two major PA giants "coincidentally" hit the price increase letter, breaking the "calm" of the market. Will other giants follow?
