Useful Knowledge Related to Sodium Citrate
What Is Sodium Citrate
Sodium citrate, with the chemical formula C6H5Na3O7 and a molecular weight of 258.07, is an organic compound in colourless rhomboidal crystals, stable in air, soluble in water and glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol. The aqueous solution is slightly alkaline and has a refreshing sensation when tasted. When heated to 100°C, it becomes a dihydrate salt. Commonly used as buffer, complexing agent, bacterial culture medium, in medicine for diuretic, expectorant, sweating, to prevent blood coagulation, and used in food, beverage, electroplating, photography and other aspects.

Questions About Sodium Citrate
What Is Sodium Citrate Trisodium Salt Dihydrate and Its Uses?
Do people know what is sodium citrate trisodium salt dihydrate? This element isn't something you're likely to find in your pantry, but you've probably heard of it if you've seen a recipe that called for it. So what is this product, and why should you care? The simple answer is that it's a substance used to thicken or stabilize foods, although there are many other uses for it as well. Here are more things people should know about this element.
What is the uses of organic citric acid bulk
This compound is used as a replacement for sodium citrate and calcium citrate which are not good for the food in that it can cause undesirable side effects such as precipitation and decrease in quality. Organic citric acid is used to replace these compounds because it has many advantages over them. Using this compound makes bread soft, moist and milder compared to the use of other compounds such as sodium citrate and calcium citrate.
What Are The Important Uses of Caustic Soda?
Sodium carbonate soda ash is a chemical that is used in many different products. It is also known as washing soda or soda ash. Washing soda is often used to clean clothes, but it can also deodorize carpets. Sodium carbonate can also act as an anti-caking agent, which reduces the amount of dust that gets into food products during storage.
If you have high blood pressure or kidney disease, you should avoid certain foods that contain sodium carbonate. These foods include:
-Cream of tartar
-Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
Sodium Chloride/p>
-Soda water (carbonated water with the addition of sodium bicarbonate or sodium citrate)
How to prepare sodium carbonate extract and its Physical properties
Sodium carbonate can also be made by simply using sodium bicarbonate and mixing it with water and minerals. These minerals will make the solution more alkaline, among other things. The amount of sodium carbonate mixed with water will determine how many different types of chemicals can be created from it through the addition of different metals, like calcium carbonate or sodium citrate.
What is the testing for sugar with benedict's solution?
What exactly is Benedict's reagent? This reagent is a sodium citrate and carbonate combination. This reagent also contains copper II sulfates.
In the conclusion, you may notice the creation of a brick-red precipitate. How? This occurs during the reaction of Benedict's reagent with reducing sugars. The presence of the precipitate shows that the sample is amenable to reducing sugars. What is the color shift visible in this test? Benedict's reagent causes the color shift from blue to brick-red.
