Listeria spreads again! Don't eat this cheese!

foodmate 2022-12-15

On the 13th, the Italian Ministry of Health issued an emergency recall document again, saying that due to the excessive content of listeria in Deluxe brand truffle feta cheese, some products were recalled.

Italy's Fanpage reported that after a number of sausages, salmon and other foods were urgently recalled due to the risk of listeria contamination, the Italian Ministry of Health yesterday once again sounded a new alert about "Listeria in Deluxe brand fermented truffle feta cheese exceeds the standard".

According to documents from the Italian Ministry of Health, the recall is a cheese product produced by Rocca Toscana Formaggi S.r.l. in Arezzo and sold by Lidl Italia. The reason for the recall is that the cheese production company found that the content of listeria in the product exceeded the standard during the self-inspection.

The specific recall information is as follows:

- Deluxe brand truffle feta cheese (Pecorino stagionato al tartufo), about 180 grams (slightly different weight per piece), batch TA222744, shelf life until March 19, 2023.
