Heben Launched 4000-ton Clomazone Production in Sichuan

On December 18th, the first product line of Sichuan Heben Crop Protection Co., Ltd., entered trial operation. This product line carries an annual production capacity of 4000 tons of Clomazone technical.

The herbicide, Clomazone

Clomazone is a herbicide that is used to kill weeds. It is mainly used to control broad-leaved weeds and grass weeds in soybean fields, and also used in cassava, corn, rapeseed, sugarcane and tobacco fields, etc. It works by inhibiting the growth of newly emerging leaves and stems.

The common formulations of Clomazone are 360g/L EC and 480g/L EC. It also can be used in conjunction with other herbicides to improve its efficacy. Heben can provide various types of Clomazone formulations.

Clomazone is rainfast within 2 hours of application. Clomazone has low toxicity to mammals and is not a skin irritant. It is relatively new to the market and was first registered for use in the United States in 1978.
