Deepak Foundation Conferred Award by Gujarat Industry Association

Deepak Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Deepak Nitrite Ltd. (DNL), was conferred with the Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI) award for its activities. FGI is one of the leading industry associations in Gujarat.

The award was presented by Mrs. Maneka Gandhi, Minister of Woman and Child Development, Government of India, at a function held on April 14, 2018 at Vadodara, in the presence of prominent business professionals spanning various social and corporate sectors. “Our CSR goals are aligned to governments’ goal of achieving universal health coverage and reducing the out-of-pocket expenditure towards healthcare among under-privileged communities,” Ms. Archana Joshi, Director, Deepak Foundation, said on the occasion.

Over the last 35 years, the Deepak Foundation has been providing free-of-cost, quality, maternal and childcare services to 10,00,000 people, and delivered door-to-door medical services to around 26,000 citizens from marginalised sections of society. It has also empowered 11,500 women in rural and tribal areas through training programmes, and monitored nutritional intake of around 15,000 children. Overall, more than 2-mn people have benefitted by activities conducted by Deepak Foundation.
