Deepak Group in India launched its first fluorine chemical plant and officially set foot in the field of fluorine chemistry
Deepak Chem Tech Limited (DCTL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deepak Nitrite Limited, has officially launched the operation of its state-of-the-art fluorine chemical plant in Dahej District, Bharuch District, Gujarat, India.
As the first fluorine chemical plant of Deepak Group, the operation of this plant is not only the embodiment of technical strength, but also an important layout for the future development strategy of the group. It is reported that the plant will directly provide employment opportunities for about 150 skilled labor and have a positive impact on the economic and social development of the local area.
Deepak C Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director of Deepak Nitrite Limited, said: "This is a landmark moment for the company. Our official foray into fluorination chemistry is one of our core strategies to establish Deepak Group as a responsible chemistry R&D centre in India. We are proud of Make in India and are committed to being a cutting edge manufacturer of indigenous chemicals that provide import substitution and help strengthen the Indian chemical industry.″
Fluorination chemistry is a wide-ranging science that plays an integral role in many fields, including materials science, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and electronics. Through fluorination, materials can be given a variety of unique properties to meet the needs of different fields of application.
The inauguration ceremony of the plant was held under the auspices of the group's senior leadership, and the employees of the plant and representatives of the local community also witnessed the important moment. This initiative not only demonstrates Deepak Chem Tech's strength in the field of fluorination chemistry, but also demonstrates its active commitment to social responsibility.
It is worth mentioning that DCTL has also recently opened a new manufacturing unit in Sankarda near Vadodara, Gujarat. This segment focuses on the production of a wide range of inorganic salt mixtures, which will be widely used in the chemical and petrochemical industries, providing strong support for related industries.
