Ethylene oxide market forecast: limited rigid demand, insufficient support
On the 21st, the domestic ethylene oxide price stabilized temporarily, the closing price of ethylene in Northeast Asia fell, and the market of related products ethylene glycol rose. Among them, the ex-factory price of Jilin Petrochemical's ethylene glycol premium product was 3800 CNY/ton, which was higher than the previous transaction. Daily increase of 100 CNY/ton, the increase rate is 2.70%. The methanol market is mainly organized. Shijiazhuang and surrounding companies are concentrated at 1850 CNY/ton (cash). There are not many companies in inventory and the offer is firm, but the downstream intention to receive goods is not high; the latest reference price in Tangshan is 1850 CNY/ton. As of today (22nd), the mainstream reference quotation in the domestic ethylene oxide market is at RMB 7,200-7,400/ton. The specific details are as follows:
At present, the domestic production and sales of ethylene oxide are in a balanced state, and regional prices have not fluctuated significantly for the time being. The downstream ethanolamine is mainly operating at a high level. Merchants have limited stocks. Insufficient efforts, it is expected that the short-term market will mainly maintain stability, with specific attention to factory dynamics.
