Yunnan's agricultural exports buck the trend, up 8% in first 10 months
Recently, Kunming Customs was informed that from January to October 2020, Yunnan Province's agricultural exports were 28.13 billion yuan (RMB), up 8.2 percent year-on-year. Among them, fruit exports amounted to 13.81 billion yuan, up 22.5% year-on-year; vegetable exports amounted to 8.4 billion yuan, up 5.2% year-on-year.
Yunnan is located in southwest China's borderland, relying on unique geographical and climatic advantages, it has become the most important and distinctive agricultural products province in China. "Cloud vegetables", "cloud fruit", "cloud flowers" and other highland specialty agricultural products have become a beautiful business card of the province.
Since the spread of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic around the world, the global economy has been impacted, which also brings challenges to the export of Yunnan's highland specialty agricultural products. In response to such a situation, Kunming Customs co-ordinated to promote the prevention and control of the epidemic, to promote foreign trade and steady growth. The precise measures to help push Yunnan's highland specialty agricultural exports to achieve counter-trend growth.
