China Gasoline and Diesel Prices Increased in H1, 2018

In the first half of 2018, the gasoline and diesel prices at state-owned refineries fluctuated upwards and were significantly higher than the prices in the same period last year. According to SCI, the highest price of gasoline and diesel at state-owned refineries was RMB 8,290/mt and RMB 7,177/mt respectively at the end of May. As of June 21, the average price of gasoline was RMB 8,041/mt, up RMB 777/mt or 10% from the beginning of the year; the average price of diesel was RMB 6,874/mt, up RMB 55/mt from the beginning of the year.
