Wanhua Chemical 560,000 tons/year chemical project will be started soon

Recently, Wanhua Chemical (Penglai) Co., LTD. Acrylic acid and ester phase II project to solicit comments on the draft of the environmental impact statement public.

It is reported that the project will build 160,000 tons/year acrylic plant, 400,000 tons/year butyl acrylate plant and supporting public works and auxiliary facilities, which will be located in Penglai Chemical Industry Park Wanhua Penglai Industrial Park.

On October 7, 2022, Wanhua Chemical Group held a discussion on how to adjust the scale of its acrylic acid and ester projects. The owner proposed that the project scale should be changed from one 160,000 tons/annual capacity to two sets, divided into two phases of construction. At the same time, it is required to arrange two phases of devices on the floor area of the general drawing, synchronous design, synchronous construction and synchronous driving.
