Vietnam holds International Shrimp Industry Technology Expo
April 17, 2015 - The 4th Vietnam International Shrimp Industry Technology Expo (VietShrimp 2023), co-organized by the Vietnam Fisheries Association and the Fisheries Bureau, will be held in Can Tho, Mekong Delta, from April 12-14, 2023. The theme of the event is "Improving the Value chain".
The event is considered an important platform for Vietnam to enhance the value of its shrimp industry, which has achieved sustained growth in farming area, yield and export value, as well as increase production efficiency and adapt to climate change through the application of new technologies.
Nguyen Viet Thang, chairman of the Vietnam Fisheries Association, said the industry still faces many difficulties due to limited production efficiency and responsibility in the shrimp value chain, and there is a possibility of unsustainable development.
