In the first three quarters of this year, Honduran farmed shrimp exports increased 18.6 percent year-on-year

Honduras exported 53.2 million pounds of farmed shrimp and earned $222.3 million in export revenue by the end of the third quarter of 2022.

 

The exports exceeded 52.5 million pounds and $203 million in the same period last year, up 614,000 pounds and 18.6 percent, respectively.


Since August, the Honduran farmed shrimp industry has resumed production after a slump.
