Sichuan Unveils Revised List of 14 Qualified Chemical Parks in Major Industrial Realignment
On November 25, 2025, Sichuan Province’s Department of Economy and Information Technology released a significant update: 14 chemical industrial parks have officially met the revised criteria under the newly issued “Sichuan Chemical Park Construction and Recognition Management Measures (2025)”. Among the approved sites are heavyweights like Zigong Chuanan New Materials Chemical Park, Panzhihua Vanadium-Titanium Chemical Park, and Meishan High-Tech Chemical Park. This move reflects Beijing’s broader push for standardized, safe, and environmentally compliant chemical zones. Crucially, each park underwent rigorous review by municipal governments and seven provincial departments before final approval. The list signals a strategic consolidation of China’s chemical manufacturing footprint—prioritizing scale, sustainability, and technological sophistication over scattered, outdated facilities.
