BASF launches New fungicide Diadem in Germany(Mefentrifluconazole+ Fluxapyroxad)

2023-04-28

Basf has launched Diadem, a highly effective new fungicide containing two new active ingredients: Xemium® and Revysol® (Mefentrifluconazole+ Fluxapyroxad). The product not only provides comprehensive disease protection for beet, but also provides active resistance management against various leaf diseases that threaten crops.

Beets, which are grown on nearly 400,000 hectares in Germany, use carbon dioxide and water to produce sugar and are highly productive, making them vital for crop rotation.

The most dangerous of the beet leaf diseases is brown spot, which alone can cause up to 50% of the yield. In addition, infestations of powdery mildew, rust and trichoderma can also lead to crop failure. Diadem's comprehensive action and long-lasting effects, along with its unique combination of active ingredients, help ward off these diseases.

In addition, Diadem provides growers with greater flexibility. After application of the product, a complete film of the active ingredient will soon form on the leaves and quickly penetrate under the leaves, so that it is not affected by rain wash. Another advantage of Diadem is that it mixes well with other pesticides. Diadem barrel mixing shows excellent physical properties without affecting biological effects.

Disease is not the only challenge facing beet growers, as fungal resistance to a few products and active ingredients is also increasing. The two active ingredients added to Diadem are safe and reliable for sugar beet cultivation. The use of Diadem not only ensures yield, but also improves quality. Beets treated with this product also have a higher sugar content.
