The European coatings market will reach $41.6 billion in 2028
According to M&M research, the European coatings market size is expected to be around $37.2 billion in 2023 and will reach $41.6 billion by 2028. Among them, with the innovation of curing technology, powder coating will further promote and broaden the application of powder coating in heat-sensitive substrate, medium density board, composite board and other materials, such as doors and Windows, kitchen and bathroom, office furniture, display cabinets and so on. Moreover, powder coatings are also favored in the field of industrial coatings due to their zero VOC characteristics, especially in the automotive field, mainly used in automotive wheels, body exteriors, chassis and other parts.
The study points out that the water-based coating, as an environmental protection coating, can reduce the adverse effect on the environment, but its curing and drying performance is not satisfactory compared with the solvent-based coating. In addition, there are performance defects in the resistance to freezing and thawing, and some waterborne coatings can no longer be used after freezing tests.
In the European region, Germany is the largest economy and the fourth largest economy in the world. It is the largest country in the European region in the decorative coatings and industrial coatings market. The study points out that Germany is the fastest growing coatings market in Europe.
