BASF Group's Supervisory Board announced several key executive changes on October 19th.

Marcelo R. Lu (42), currently Senior Vice President and Head of Care Chemicals North America, will assume the role of President for BASF East Asia, South Asia, ASEAN, and Australia-New Zealand regions effective February 1, 2024. He will be based in Singapore. Dr. Carola Richter (50), the current President of the region, has decided to leave the company.

Dr. Klaus Welsch (60), the current President of BASF's major projects in Asia, will retire on December 31, 2023.

Haryono Lim (50), currently Senior Vice President and Head of BASF China's Integrated Site and Managing Director of BASF Integrated Site (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., will take over as President of BASF's major projects in Asia starting January 1, 2024. He will be based in Zhanjiang, China.
