Bioingenium Enhances Bioprocess and Biotechnology Development Capabilities with New Plant
Bioingenium is bolstering its ability to create bioprocesses and manufacture biological products and active ingredients for the biotechnology, cosmetics, and food sectors with a fresh production facility in Cornellà de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain. The investment, totaling €1.5 million (approximately US $15.9 million), is scheduled for full operational readiness by mid-2024 and will encompass 1,200 square meters.

Bioingenium
In the preceding year, Bioingenium expanded its workforce by 40% and witnessed a consistent annual growth rate of 30% over the past three years. This surge is attributed to the company's strategy of diversifying production across burgeoning domains, including cosmetics, technological innovation, and research and development.

Representing an investment of €1.5m (~US $15.9m), the facility is set to be fully operational by mid-2024 and will have a surface area of 1,200 meters.
David Resina, the company's director, expressed, "The inauguration of this pilot plant positions us to amplify our production capacity and lays the foundation for the next phase of our expansion into cosmetics and food tech markets, along with other burgeoning and sustainable sectors. The escalating demand for biotechnology services bolsters our conviction that this new facility will furnish us with a substantial competitive edge in these markets. It also streamlines our ability to progressively scale production to meet the current and future requirements of the global market."
