Fuhrmann Hanlin Reports Strong Performance in the First Three Quarters of 2023

On November 15th, Fuhrmann Hanlin, a leading biopharmaceutical company, released its financial results for the first three quarters of 2023. The impressive performance was primarily driven by the successful commercialization and effective implementation of their flagship products, Hanquyou® (Zercepac® in Europe, Tuzucip® and Trastucip® in Australia) and H-Drug Hanszhuang® (Sululi monoclonal antibody). The sales revenue for Hanquyou® and H-Drug Hanszhuang® in the first three quarters of 2023 reached approximately CNY 2.0145 billion and CNY 0.8654 billion, respectively.


Expanding Global Footprint:
Fuhrmann Hanlin is dedicated to providing affordable high-quality biopharmaceuticals to patients worldwide, covering areas such as oncology, autoimmune diseases, and ophthalmic disorders. The company has already launched five self-developed products, benefiting over 495,000 patients and reaching more than 40 markets globally. Additionally, Fuhrmann Hanlin currently has over ten marketing authorization applications under review by regulatory authorities in countries and regions, including the European Union, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, and Singapore.


Steady Growth and Overseas Expansion:
In the third quarter of 2023, Fuhrmann Hanlin continued its strong growth momentum, achieving significant milestones in multiple commercialized products and generating a total sales revenue of approximately CNY 1.2256 billion worldwide. The core oncology products, Hanquyou®, Hanszhuang®, and Hanbeite® (Bevacizumab), contributed sales revenues of approximately CNY 0.7378 billion, CNY 0.3091 billion, and CNY 0.0364 billion, respectively. Moreover, based on partnership agreements, the company received sales profit sharing of approximately CNY 0.131 billion and CNY 0.0113 billion for Hanlikang® (Rituximab) and Handayuan® (Aducanumab), respectively.


Hanquyou®: Fuhrmann Hanlin's flagship product, Hanquyou®, is the only domestically produced biosimilar of Trastuzumab with dual specifications of 150/60mg and free from preservatives. Since its launch, it has gained a significant market share in China and benefited approximately 155,000 Chinese patients. In July 2023, the product's marketing authorization application received acceptance from Health Canada following the submission to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) earlier. To date, Hanquyou® has been approved for marketing in over 40 countries and regions, including China, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Australia, Singapore, Argentina, and Saudi Arabia, making it the most widely approved domestically produced biosimilar.


H-Drug Hanszhuang®: H-Drug Hanszhuang® is the world's first approved anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody for first-line treatment of small cell lung cancer. Since its market approval in March 2022, H-Drug Hanszhuang® has demonstrated significant market competitiveness with breakthrough efficacy and differentiation, benefiting approximately 43,000 Chinese patients. In September 2023, it received an additional indication for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), marking Fuhrmann Hanlin's expansion into the field of digestive tract tumors and entering a new phase of commercialization. The company also plans to submit a marketing registration application for H-Drug Hanszhuang® as a first-line treatment for non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (nsNSCLC) in China in the fourth quarter of 2023.


Overseas Expansion and Collaborations:
Fuhrmann Hanlin has made significant progress in its overseas expansion efforts in 2023, creating new growth opportunities internationally. Through authorized licensing and research and development services, the company generated approximately CNY 0.5467 billion in revenue, representing a 232.1% year-on-year increase in the first three quarters of 2023. During this period, the company actively collaborated with partners to expand the global commercialization blueprint for H-Drug. In September 2023, Fuhrmann Hanlin partnered with KGbio, its collaborator in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), to exclusively develop and commercialize H-Drug in 12 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. In October 2023, the company expanded its collaboration with Intas, granting exclusive development and commercialization rights for H-Drug in Europe and India, with potential total revenue estimated at EUR 185 million.
