Yangzi Petrochemical's EVA plant realizes feeding and start-up!
On March 3, when the National "Two Sessions" were about to be held, through the joint efforts of Yangzi Petrochemical and all participating units, Sinopec’s first 100,000-ton/year Lyondell Basel cauldron process EVA device was put into operation and successfully opened up. The whole process produces LDPE particles.
The start-up of the new EVA unit has laid a solid foundation for the subsequent production of high-quality products, marking that the company has made an important breakthrough in the differentiation of the plastic product structure, and has taken a key step in the new journey of developing high-end polyolefin products. EVA is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and EVA products are synthetic materials that are in short supply in China.

About Yangzi Petrochemical EVA device
Yangzi Petrochemical’s EVA device adopts LyondellBasell’s kettle-type technology and has a construction scale of 100,000 tons per year. This is also the first ultra-high pressure device of Yangzi Petrochemical. It is also one of the few devices in the world. There is nothing to learn from. experience.
Before and after the delivery of the device, the EVA device continued to optimize the training program and training plan, and organized the training of the installation personnel, internships, on-the-job training, and job examinations.
The plastic factory speeds up the digestion of patents, design institutes and equipment suppliers' data, completes the preparation and approval of technical data, plans, and training data, strengthens communication and coordination with the company's relevant departments and departments, and promotes the organization of preparations before the start-up of the equipment , To do a good job of "three checks and four determinations", stand-alone test run, cleaning and purging, etc., to ensure the orderly implementation of linkage test run and feed test run after the handover.
The EVA device is a high-pressure device that has very high requirements for equipment installation and airtightness. During the test run, the plastic factory and related units carefully prepared, step by step test run to check for leaks, and pressure relief and boost pressure again and again, facing unprecedented difficulties. Not discouraged.
Finally on the evening of the Lantern Festival on February 26, the reactor pressure was increased to 220MPa, which reached the production design standard, and the airtight work of the entire system was completed. A steaming bowl of Lantern Festival became the best way to celebrate the work, and it was also installed on March 3. The foundation has been laid for the smooth realization of the start-up of materials and the opening up of the whole process.
At present, the Plastic Factory of Yangzi Petrochemical Company is fighting hard and making persistent efforts to realize the equipment production series of EVA products.
