Ashland will increase production capacity of hydroxyethyl cellulose at Nanjing plant

On March 16, Ashland Global announced that the company plans to increase the production capacity of Natrosol Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) in Nanjing, China.

In this regard, Ashland Chairman and CEO Guillermo Novo said: "Ashland Natrosol rheology modifier has always been the leading cellulose thickener in waterborne architectural coatings, given the unprecedented demand and our customer-centric strategy , Ashland will build on our previous investment in Nanjing and further expand production capacity. This shows our determination to invest in Asia. It is also a key lever to support Ashland’s growth strategy to ensure that we can meet customer growth Demand and provide additional supply security on a global scale."

Natrosol HEC is a natural product and an excellent thickener used as a non-ionic rheology modifier in industrial and consumer applications.
