44.8 billion yuan! SABIC and Fujian Energy Petrochemical Group jointly build petrochemical complex
On the 19th, at the Gulei Petrochemical Base in Zhangzhou, Fujian, China, the main project of the Sino-Saudi Gulei Ethylene Project with a total investment of approximately 44.8 billion yuan was fully started, announcing that this Sino-foreign joint venture project has officially entered the comprehensive construction stage.
The project is jointly constructed by Fujian Energy Petrochemical Group and SABIC. It is the largest one-time investment Sino-foreign joint venture project in Fujian Province to date. The project is expected to be completed in 2026, with an estimated annual ethylene production capacity of up to 1.8 million tons. After the completion of the project, it will not only meet the market and customer demand for high-end chemical products, but also create more investment opportunities downstream of the industrial chain.
