AVON cooperates with Cotton made in Africa
AVON announces partnership with Cotton made in Africa (CmiA). As part of its sustainability agenda, Natura & Co's direct-to-consumer brand AVON will use CmiA certified cotton in products including women's sleepwear.
CmiA cotton has a smaller environmental footprint than other cottons and is fully traceable from field to final product. The first products from this collaboration will be launched in the second quarter of this year.
Natalie Deacon, Global Head of Sustainability at AVON said:"In addition to using sustainably produced raw materials, we aim to achieve certification and traceability and address environmental and social issues for our cotton-containing products. For example, we have set ourselves the goal of using only traceable cotton by 2025 and only certified cotton by 2030. CmiA is the ideal partner to support us in achieving this, which also helps create a better world for women, who play a vital role in CmiA's work in Africa."
