WEG invests in new industrial liquid coatings factory in Mexico
WEG announced an investment of R$100 million in a new industrial liquid coatings factory in Mexico.
The construction of the new factory will expand WEG Coatings' existing production capacity and is designed to serve the North and Central American markets. The new factory has a construction area of approximately 5,300m2 and is expected to start operations in early 2026.
"These investments will accelerate the internationalization of WEG's Industrial Coatings business, ensuring a strategic positioning to meet the growing demand for more efficient and sustainable solutions in Mexico and Central America," said Rafael Torezan, Managing Director of WEG's Coatings business unit.
The investments will be made at Atotonilco de Tula, where the company already produces powder coatings for the industrial and infrastructure sectors. In addition to this plant, WEG also produces indutrial paints and varnishes in Guaramilín and Maua, Brazil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
