Hansoh Pharma Collaborates with Pumis on 'EGFR/cMet Bispecific Antibody'
In an exciting development, Hansoh Pharma and Pumis have expanded their strategic partnership. Building upon their initial collaboration in 2022, Pumis has granted Hansoh Pharma the exclusive license to utilize their independently developed EGFR/cMet bispecific antibody, HS-20117/PM1080, for the development of antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) products. This milestone agreement paves the way for enhanced clinical benefits for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and other cancers.
Hansoh Pharma and Pumis Collaboration:
On March 14th, Hansoh Pharma and Pumis solidified their collaboration by entering into a further strategic partnership. As per the licensing agreement, Hansoh Pharma gains exclusive rights to utilize the HS-20117/PM1080 antibody in the global development, production, and commercialization of ADC products. Additionally, Hansoh Pharma has the authority to sub-license the antibody. In return, Pumis will receive an upfront payment from Hansoh Pharma, along with potential milestone payments based on the development, registration, and sales of ADC products, totaling up to RMB 5 billion. Furthermore, Pumis will be entitled to tiered royalty fees based on global net sales.
HS-20117/PM1080: An Enhanced Bispecific Antibody:
HS-20117/PM1080, an EGFR/cMet bispecific antibody, represents a novel 1+1 heterodimeric structure. By specifically targeting tumor antigens EGFR and cMet, this antibody inhibits tumor growth and survival. Currently, it is in phase I clinical trials. The combination of EGFR/cMet bispecific antibodies and ADC technology aims to further improve clinical outcomes for NSCLC and other cancer patients. With stronger tumor specificity, lesser side effects, and potentially better clinical efficacy compared to dual or single antibody ADCs, bispecific ADCs have become a focal point of current research.
The Era of Digital Marketing in the Medical Device Industry:
As the medical device industry enters a new era of open, shared, and precise digital marketing, traditional inefficient marketing methods no longer meet the demands of rapidly growing companies. Hospital reforms, changes in doctor-patient behavior, and external compliance pressures are pushing medical device enterprises to seek lower-cost, more efficient, and wider-ranging marketing strategies. In this context, the "3rd Medical Device New Marketing Forum," guided by the Guangdong Medical Device Industry Association and hosted by Yaozhi Net and Guangdong Huaguang, will be held on March 21, 2024, in conjunction with the 11th Greater Bay Area International Medical Device Expo. Esteemed experts with profound insights and influence in the field of medical device marketing, as well as pragmatic business leaders, will explore new examples and perspectives on the transformation of medical device digital marketing from a strategic perspective, spanning interdisciplinary collaboration, cross-industry marketing, and new retail. The event will take place from 13:30 to 17:00 at the first floor conference room number 2 of the South Feng International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangzhou.
The collaboration between Hansoh Pharma and Pumis on the development of the EGFR/cMet bispecific antibody represents an exciting advancement in the field of targeted cancer therapies. With the potential to revolutionize treatment options for NSCLC and other cancers, this partnership underscores the importance of innovative research and strategic collaborations in the pharmaceutical industry. As the medical device industry embraces the digital era, the upcoming "3rd Medical Device New Marketing Forum" promises to shed light on cutting-edge marketing strategies and insights that will drive the transformation of the industry.
