Chinese Acetone Market Inched Down This Week (Nov 9-15, 2018)
The Chinese acetone market moved marginally this week. Up to November 15, 2018, reference negotiation prices for acetone in Jiangsu were around RMB 4,200/mt, up RMB 75/mt or 1.82% week on week. The average price was RMB 4,190/mt, down RMB 105/mt or 2.44% week on week. On last Friday, the Chinese acetone market stopped declining and became steady. Some holders stopped offering and became unwilling to sell goods. Downstream users’ buying need improved. On November 13, 2018, crude oil prices slumped and benzene and propylene prices moved down. The buying interest got thin. Players should focus on the fundamentals.
