Grolman to distribute Taiyo’s PEG-free solubilizers and emulsifiers in Europe

The Germany-based specialty ingredients distributor has signed an exclusive agreement with Japanese cosmetic additives maker Taiyo. Under the newly formed partnership, Grolman Group will distribute Taiyo's portfolio of personal care surfactants in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, the UK, Ireland, France, Poland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Turkey and Greece.

Taiyo's portfolio of functional cosmetic additives includes more than fifty polyglyceryl fatty acid esters (PGFE) designed to meet a variety of application needs. Key to the range is its PEG-free nature, which improves stability, reduces skin irritation and improves sensory experience.

The SunSoft QY range is one of Taiyo's standout products, known for its hydrophilicity and effectiveness whether used as a solubilizer or makeup remover.

Taiyo has also developed specialized emulsifiers such as SunSoft No.818SK-C(MB), tailored for sun protection and foundation formulations, and Taiset 50-C(MB), a versatile natural emulsifier. Another highlight of the Taiyo range is the SunSoft AP range, which features a conditioner derived from almond oil with a polyglycerol content. For emollient needs, SunOil DDI(MB) stands out for its superior moisturizing capabilities, while Taiset OG-C(MB) acts as an oil-soluble beauty modifier. Additionally, the partnership emphasizes sustainability and safety, with products using natural and traditional ingredients.

Grolman said the partnership aims to provide diverse solutions to customers in the personal care industry.
