BYK Additives will build a new complex laboratory building in Wesel

ECHEMI 2024-03-26

BYK will build a new laboratory building at its Wesel site. BYK estimates the total project implementation period to be approximately four years and cost approximately €25 million. Completion is expected in the second quarter of 2028.

"BYK is connected with customers around the world and through this innovative laboratory complex it will create space for effective communication as well as development and cooperation with our customers and distributors." said Division President Dr. Jörg Hinnerwisch.

In the planning, special attention was paid to efficient energy consumption. For example, heating and cooling will be fully fueled by heat pumps and photovoltaic systems. An old laboratory building with a total area of 5,100 m2 will be vacated so that it can be fully integrated into the existing structure of the BYK Wesel site.
