KANSAI HELIOS completes acquisition of WEILBURGER Coatings
KANSAI HELIOS has completed the acquisition of WEILBURGER Coatings, the entire industrial coatings business of GREBE Holding in Weilburg, Germany. The deal was first announced in February 2024. The merger is an important step to further strengthen KANSAI HELIOS’ market position in various industrial coatings segments and expand its international geographical footprint.
Following the completion of the acquisition, KANSAI HELIOS becomes the new owner of WEILBURGER Coatings, which consists of group companies located in Germany, Italy, France, Turkey, the United States, Brazil, India and China. WEILBURGER Coatings is a long-established group of companies with a heritage spanning over 120 years. The company has a global success with around 600 employees at seven production sites and multiple trading offices. The group has cultivated well-known brands such as GREBLON, senorail and senotherm®. With a turnover of approximately €150 million, WEILBURGER Coatings is renowned for its excellence in the fields of non-stick coatings, high-temperature coatings, railway coatings and specialty coatings.
The merger is a decisive step towards strengthening KANSAI HELIOS’ market position in the broad industrial coatings sector and facilitating an expanded international presence. By strategically pooling resources and expertise, the company aims not only to expand its competitive advantage but also to deepen its connections with global markets and promote sustainable growth and innovation.
