FMC and Optibrium use AI to accelerate innovation in crop protection technology
FMC has announced a partnership with Optibrium, a leading developer of drug discovery software and artificial intelligence solutions. This strategic alliance marks an important step in the field of crop protection research and aims to accelerate the discovery and commercialization of new crop protection technologies by integrating advanced AI technologies.
Through the partnership, FMC will use Optibrium's Cerella™ and StarDrop™ technologies for internal research and development. Cerella™ is a deep learning-based artificial intelligence platform that improves return on R&D investment by enhancing molecular discovery for more accurate predictions and better experimental prioritization. StarDrop™ further complements the capabilities of Cerella™ through small molecule design and optimization, and integrates with Cerella™ to improve data analysis in the discovery process using AI.
In order to meet the global food security challenge, innovative approaches must be adopted to accelerate the research and development process.
