BASF helps Panasonic launch the first luminaire in China that meets the highest performance standards

Panasonic, one of the world’s leading luminaire manufacturers, uses BASF’s optical film NovaFlex GlareControl in its new study luminaire “SHIYUE”. The innovative film’s excellent anti-glare properties enable the product to meet the highest performance level of the new standard set by the China Quality Certification Center. The standard defines the performance requirements for all movable luminaires used for writing and reading. The highest performance level 5A can only be achieved with BASF’s glare reduction solution.

NovaFlex GlareControl is based on the innovative FunTex technology, which allows the production of microstructured films via a roll-to-roll process.
