Merck's Breakthrough in RSV Antibody: Significant Reduction in Infant Respiratory Infections

On July 24, Merck & Co., the world's leading pharmaceutical company, announced a major scientific achievement: Their prophylactic monoclonal antibody to Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) clesrovimab (trade name MK-1654) achieved very positive results in phase 2b/3 clinical trials. According to the trial results, clesrovimab successfully met the established safety and efficacy endpoints in clinical trials.
