India Unleashes Heavy Blow! China's Epoxy Chloropropane Faces 5-Year Anti-dumping Duty of Up to $216/ton, Korea and Thailand Are Not Spared Either!
According to the China Trade Remedy Information Network, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice on August 14, which made a positive final anti-dumping ruling on epichlorohydrin products from China, South Korea and Thailand. The ruling recommended that anti-dumping duties be imposed on products from these countries for a period of five years, with specific duties ranging from US $0 to US $216 / ton for Chinese products, US $298 to US $327 / ton for Thai products and US $274 to US $557 / ton for Korean products. Please refer to the attached Table for details of the levy. The product involved in this case is epichlorohydrin under Indian Customs Code 29103000.
Subsequently, on September 26, 2023, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued another announcement, in response to the application made by Indian enterprise Meghmani Finechem Limited, launched an anti-dumping investigation on epichlorohydrin products from China, South Korea and Thailand. The dumping period of this investigation is set at April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, a total of 12 months; The injury investigation period covers the period from 2019 to 2020, 2020 to 2021, 2021 to 2022 and the above-mentioned dumping investigation period.
