Amway to invest $4 million in R&D in India

ECHEMI 2024-09-14

Amway has made India a priority market and is investing heavily in the country. The direct selling company has significantly increased its spending, allocating $4 million to set up four R&D labs in Guruvram, Chennai, Bengaluru and Dindigul.

According to a report published by Business Line, the labs will develop innovative products for the food, beauty, personal and oral care markets, catering to the evolving needs of consumers in health, beauty and wellness. The company hopes to attract an additional 3 million shoppers in the next five years.

"India is a top market for Amway and one of the top markets globally. These investments in R&D labs are in line with these strategies," Rajneesh Chopra, Managing Director, Amway India, told Business Line.
