Trinseo Announces Significant Price Increases, European PS and ABS Costs Surge by 20%
Recently, the company and its subsidiaries in Europe officially announced that they will raise the prices of all polystyrene (PS), ABS and SAN grade products. The price adjustment will be implemented from November 1, 2024. According to the contract terms currently in force, the prices of the following categories of products will be increased by the following margins:
First of all, STYRON™ and STYRON®X-TECH brand generic polystyrene grade (GPPS) products, the price per ton will increase by 20 euros, equivalent to about 150 yuan.
In addition, the price of HIPS in the Steyr ™ and Steyr ™A-TECH, Steyr ™C-TECH and Steyr ®X-TECH series will also increase by 20 euros per metric ton, equivalent to approximately 150 yuan.
In addition, the price of MAGNUM™ABS resin products will increase by 30 euros per metric ton, equivalent to approximately 230 yuan.
Finally, the price of TYRIL™SAN resin products will also increase by €30 per metric ton, equivalent to approximately RMB 230.
The company in the European region of PS, ABS product prices increased, from the company's announcement of the third quarter financial results, mainly due to the rise in styrene prices caused by cost pressure.
