Dow and Guangdong Delian Group have launched a strategic cooperation, and recycled plastic resins are commercially applied to the automotive market for the first time

Dow and Guangdong Delian Group signed a memorandum of understanding at the 7th China International Import Expo. The two companies will cooperate to expand the application of post-consumer recycled (PCR) resins in the automotive market and support the industry's transition to a circular economy.

Delian Group successfully applied Dow REVOLOOP™ recycled plastic resins to automotive care products. This innovative solution not only reduces the carbon footprint of packaging by significantly reducing reliance on virgin resins, but also marks the first commercial application of Dow REVOLOOP™ recycled plastic resins in the automotive care market.

Bambang Candra, Vice President of Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics Asia Pacific, said: "With the intensification of global climate change and the increasing scarcity of resources, the sustainability of the automotive market has become increasingly important. The use of sustainable materials can alleviate these problems, provide consumers with more environmentally friendly choices, and promote the circular economy of automotive services. Dow is committed to developing innovative solutions for the circular economy and enhancing our REVOLOOP™ recycled plastic resin portfolio to meet the sustainability needs of customers. We are honored to work with Delian Group to promote the commercial application of REVOLOOP™ in the automotive field."

"We have always been adhering to the business philosophy of 'energy conservation and emission reduction, low carbon and environmental protection'," said Xu Tuanhua, Chairman of Delian Group. "The strategic cooperation with Dow marks a significant progress in the circular economy for Delian Group, further enabling Delian Group to stand out in the competition in the automotive market and help us meet the growing global demand for sustainable products."

The signing of this memorandum of understanding marks a key step in Dow's commitment to the "waste conversion" program. This cooperation is not only aimed at strengthening the packaging application of post-consumer recycled resins in the automotive market, but also at promoting innovation to redefine waste as a valuable resource. Through the collaboration, Dow and Delian will focus on developing sustainable solutions that contribute to a circular economy, in which materials are reused and repurposed, minimizing environmental impact and supporting long-term resource sustainability.
