Flint Group's 9000㎡ New Plant Opens in India
Recently, Flint Group, a global leader in ink and coating solutions for the printing and packaging industry, held an inauguration ceremony for its new manufacturing plant in Savli, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. This milestone not only marks Flint Group's further expansion into the Indian market but also reflects the company’s strong confidence in the future development of the local printing and packaging industry.
The new plant covers an area of approximately 9,000 square meters and was purpose-built to meet the growing demand for paperboard packaging and narrow web label industries in India. This modern facility focuses on producing water-based inks and coatings, as well as energy-curable inks, aiming to offer customers more environmentally friendly, efficient, and sustainable solutions.
The establishment of the new plant represents a significant milestone in Flint Group's enhanced production capacity in India. Located less than 10 kilometers from Flint’s flexible packaging production base in Ranjitnagar, the strategic location enables convenient raw material procurement and product distribution. Additionally, the new facility complements the existing plant producing solvent-based inks and features a dedicated department for producing toluene-free inks, further enriching Flint Group’s product offerings.
Flint Group’s presence in India is extensive. In addition to the newly opened Vadodara plant, the company also operates an ISO 9001:2015-certified manufacturing facility in Hosur, focusing on narrow web label inks. Moreover, a blending facility in Noida and warehouses in Kolkata, Mumbai, and Hyderabad collectively form a robust nationwide network, ensuring comprehensive coverage and high-quality service.
Upal Roy, Managing Director for India, South Africa, and the Middle East at Flint Group, stated at the opening ceremony: “Our state-of-the-art new facility demonstrates Flint Group’s commitment to the rapidly growing Indian corrugated packaging and label printing market. By significantly enhancing our local manufacturing capacity, we are ensuring that we can meet evolving customer needs and strategically position Flint Group to seize future growth opportunities in this vibrant region.”
Flint Group's expansion of manufacturing capacity in India not only strengthens its own capabilities but also drives the future development of the Indian printing and packaging industry. With the commencement of operations at the new plant, Flint Group will continue to provide comprehensive, efficient, and sustainable solutions to its customers in the Indian market, promoting innovation and growth in the industry.
