Advancion Launches Elevance Ultra, Next-Generation Hair Fixative/Pigment Dispersant
To meet global demand for high-performance, enhanced safety and sustainable ingredients, Advancion Corp. has introduced a variety of multifunctional additives for various industries based on its novel aminopentanol technology platform.
For personal care and cosmetics, the Elevance Ultra technology is said to provide superior hair fixative resin performance, maximum pigment dispersion, act as a highly effective stabilizer and neutralizer, improve the performance and sensory qualities of formulations such as high-alcohol hand sanitizers, and be compatible with a variety of commonly used natural and synthetic formulation ingredients, supporting cleaner, more effective personal care products.
Elevance Ultra is described as readily biodegradable and has an excellent safety profile. According to the company, the ingredient is the only stand-alone technology on the market that outperforms AMP in a range of applications.
For hair styling, it is not only compatible with a variety of hair fixative resins and hair spray propellants, supporting their performance, but also provides in-can corrosion protection and excellent curl retention in high humidity conditions, the company reports. The ingredient is available as an anhydrous solid Elevance Ultra 1000 or as an aqueous solution at 95% concentration of Elevance Ultra 2000 or 89% concentration of Elevance Ultra 3000.
"This innovation reflects our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible to provide the market with powerful, versatile and environmentally friendly solutions to today's complex formulation challenges," said Dr. Kathleen Havelka, Senior Vice President, Research and Applications.
"Our next generation formulation ingredients are designed to deliver the quality and performance formulators rely on for reliable and superior results while meeting increasingly stringent safety and regulatory standards in personal care, coatings, metalworking fluids, electronics and other essential end-use applications."
"Advancion's new multifunctional additive platform is specifically designed to outperform AMP (aminomethyl propanol) in formulations for all known market applications while providing a best-in-class safety profile," added David Neuberger, President and CEO.
"We are excited to introduce a new product line that redefines the standard for multifunctional ingredients and enables our customers around the world to create high-performance end-use products that meet today's market demands and tomorrow's sustainability goals."
