European Food Safety Authority Issues Document on Maximum Residue Limits for Dimethomorph
On December 20, 2024, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published document number 2024.9176, proposing a revision of the maximum residue limit (MRL) for dimethomorph in agricultural products. Specifically, the agency recommends adjusting the maximum residue limit for dimethomorph in products such as oranges, lemons, and citrus fruits from 0.1 mg/kg to 0.07 mg/kg. Additionally, the dimethomorph content in grapefruits, apricots, and rice will be reduced to the limit of quantification (LOQ) of 0.01 mg/kg. This revision will officially take effect after publication in the EU Official Journal.
