Univar Solutions Acquires Brad-Chem
Univar Solutions has announced that it has acquired UK-based Brad-Chem Holdings and its affiliates.
The acquisition also includes Brad-Kem, a joint venture owned by Brad-Chem and its partner DEM, headquartered in Belgium. Brad-Chem, a supplier of corrosion protection products and lubricant additives, will complement Univar Solutions’ existing ingredients and specialties business and help meet growing customer demand for the distribution and blending of specialty lubricant additives, specialty base stocks and functional additives across industries in the UK and Europe.
Nick Powell, President of Global Ingredients and Specialties at Univar Solutions, said: “This acquisition advances our ambitious goal to strengthen support for customers throughout Europe by offering a broader portfolio of specialty products and additive blends in the lubricant and metalworking fluid markets, as well as coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE). Combining Brad-Chem’s products and partnerships with our extensive global distribution network and technical expertise will provide significant benefits to customers and suppliers.”
