Univar Solutions Expands EMEA Portfolio Through Exclusive Distribution Agreement with CABB Group

Univar Solutions has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with CABB Group to supply high-purity glycolic acid products across selected markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The partnership strengthens Univar Solutions’ position in the beauty, personal care and specialty chemicals sectors while enhancing regional supply capabilities.

Glycolic acid is widely recognized in the cosmetics and personal care industry for its exfoliating performance, skin renewal properties and moisturizing benefits. Beyond beauty applications, it is also valued in household and industrial formulations due to its low toxicity, non-flammability and absence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Under the agreement, Univar Solutions will distribute several of CABB’s established glycolic acid grades, supporting formulators seeking high-quality and versatile raw materials.

According to Nick Powell, CEO of Ingredients + Specialties at Univar Solutions, the collaboration reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation and reliable supply in key markets. James Peterson, who leads the company’s global care business, emphasized that access to high-performance ingredients enables brands and formulators to create differentiated and competitive products tailored to evolving consumer expectations.

This agreement is part of Univar Solutions’ broader strategy to expand its specialty ingredients portfolio. In recent months, the company has also partnered with Vizor to introduce advanced zinc oxide solutions for sun care formulations in Germany and Poland, and with Lygos to bring biodegradable polymer technologies to home and personal care applications.

Through these collaborations, Univar Solutions continues to reinforce its distribution network and technical expertise, responding to growing demand for high-performance and increasingly sustainable ingredient solutions across the EMEA region.
