Coperion Expands Swiss Test Center, Increases Testing Capabilities
Switzerland-based Coperion K-Tron, a leading global provider of feeding and pneumatic conveying technology solutions, has announced that it will expand its test center at its facility in Niederlenz. This strategic move is intended to enhance the company’s capabilities, especially for testing materials that require sealing.
The expansion will allow Coperion to perform more comprehensive and diverse testing, offering customers a wider range of solutions for their specific material handling needs. The test center will add advanced containment systems to handle all types of materials, including airlock systems with filtration, ensuring the safety of the testing process, personnel and environment.
This will allow the company to better serve industries such as batteries, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and food processing, where sealing and hygiene requirements are key issues.
“Coperion is committed to providing the best solutions for our customers,” said Marco Hadrys, manager of the Niederlenz test center. "The expansion of the test center is an important step towards this goal. It will allow us to conduct a wider range of tests, especially for materials that need to be sealed, and provide our customers with more reliable and efficient solutions."
The test center also provides the R&D team with the opportunity to test prototypes when developing new products or improving existing equipment and processes.
The new facility is expected to be completed in April 2025. "Coperion is confident that this investment will further strengthen our position as a leading supplier of material handling solutions and promote our continued growth and success." said Michael Reinhard, General Manager of Coperion K-Tron Switzerland.
