Persán Acquires Mibelle Group, Surpasses €1 Billion in Revenue
Swiss retail giant Migros has completed the sale of Mibelle, its subsidiary specializing in the development of active ingredients for the personal care and beauty, home care, nutrition, and cosmetics and nutraceutical industries.
Spanish company Persán is taking over all Mibelle Group employees and facilities in Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States and Australia. This does not include Mibelle Group's Korean subsidiary Gowoonsesang Cosmetics Co, Ltd, which was acquired by L'Oréal Group, as announced in December 2024.
Headquartered in Seville, Persán is a large European company producing and marketing home care and personal care products. The transaction will make Persán one of the largest private label and contract manufacturing businesses in the world.
Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed, but it marks a historic milestone in Persán's international expansion. The Andalusian company has more than 2,000 employees and three plants in Seville (Spain), Wroblovice (Poland) and Sant Vorbas (France). Together with the 1,400 employees of the Mibelle Group, Persán will have more than 3,000 employees and a turnover of more than 1 billion euros.
Migros' decision to sell the Mibelle Group is the result of its commitment to focus on its core business and modernize the Swiss market with emphasis.
Migros' own brands are produced by the Mibelle Group and will continue to be sold in the Swiss group's stores. Migros and the Mibelle Group have entered into a long-term supply agreement in the fields of home care, personal care and nutrition.
