Dawn Polymer Acquires Anhui Bost for 33 Million Yuan to Expand New Material Market
On June 20, Dawn Polymer Co., Ltd. announced the completion of its 3300-million-yuan acquisition of Anhui Bost New Material Co., Ltd., making it a wholly-owned subsidiary. The acquisition, approved by the board on April 23, 2025, will integrate Anhui Bost into Dawn’s financial statements.
Anhui Bost, established in September 2020 with a registered capital of 20 million yuan, focuses on new material technology development, plastic product manufacturing, and photovoltaic-related businesses. From January to November 2024, it generated 157 million yuan in revenue and a net profit of 3.37 million yuan.
Dawn Polymer stated that this acquisition aligns with its strategic development plan, extending its industrial chain into wire and cable new materials and enhancing its market competitiveness. Using self-financed funds, the transaction will not disrupt the company’s operations or financial stability.
Founded in 2002, Dawn Polymer specializes in high-performance thermoplastic elastomers and modified plastics. With an annual capacity of 500,000 tons of modified plastics and 90,000 tons of elastomers, it also operates in color masterbatch and recycled materials. In Q1 2025, the company recorded 1.286 billion yuan in revenue and a net profit of 44.28 million yuan.
At an investor briefing, Dawn revealed that its modified materials are now used in robotics, including nylon and alloy materials for robotic arms. The company also achieved breakthroughs in elastic materials for bionic robots, addressing stickiness issues in human-simulation elastomers. The integration of Anhui Bost’s expertise is expected to unlock new growth opportunities and drive synergistic development in emerging markets.
